Text Box: Averi’s Pals Text Box: I would like to introduce you to some kids I’ve met along my Journey. They have become some of my best friends. We all have a lot in common. Our Moms and Dads, brothers and sisters love us very much. Of course our PaPa’s and NeNe’s love us very much too. We are told we bring so much joy to their lives. They say sometimes that if they had it all to do over again, they would have had grandkids first! Boy does that make us feel special. My pals and I would like to thank you for any donations you have made in the past, we would also like to say thank you for any future donations you may give. We are all trying really hard to help our nurses. They have helped us grow up big and strong and we don’t know any other way to show our appreciation but than by giving back.

I was born 5 weeks early on May 4, 2006 with pulmonary hypertension and several heart defects.  I weighed 5 pounds 9 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long.  I spent my first few weeks in St. Louis Children’s Hospital and had open-heart surgery when I was 4 weeks old.  On 11-3-07 at 18 months of age I had another open heart surgery.  As of today I am doing well and do not have to see my cardiologist again until June of 2009.  I am so thankful for the doctors and nurses at the hospital.  They have helped save my life.
