Hello Everyone,
My name is Averi Rose Budde. I am 2 1/2 years old. Before I was born when my twin and I were still living in my mommy’s belly, I was diagnosed with a heart problem. The doctors tell me the problems are called Pulmonary Atresia and Tetralogy of Fallot., VSD and ASD. I have now had 3 open heart surgeries. My last surgery was in January, 2009. I am now home and doing well. My twin sister Adison and I are back to playing together and growing to be beautiful little girls...our family tells us all the time. I wanted to introduce myself so that you would know about me and my story. My NeNe and my family started a foundation in my honor to help the hospital that helped me and to bring awareness to other babies and their families. My foundation benefits St. Louis Children’s Hospital CICU and 7 W Units. We raise money to send nurses to continuing education classes. We recently expanded our support efforts and are helping the Families in Need Program at Children’s Hospital. Our foundation is barely as old as I am and we have already donated over $30,000 to St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
I hope you like my site. I wanted to make sure and keep the world updated on how we have helped and are helping to shape the future of heart babies, their families and the doctors and nurses who help them!
